José Tomás Toj Macarario lives in Modesto, California. He is 38 years old, a father of three children, and the single source of income for supporting a family of four. He has lived in California for almost 18 years and has always worked very hard to support his family, working long hours hardly having time to spend with them.
These past few months, he has been under a lot of stress due to his financial circumstances. He has begun to have symptoms such as burning in his chest, shortness of breath accompanied by anxiety and fear. These symptoms are recurring and have occurred at least three times over the past few months. Undocumented, José lacks access to health insurance, a necessity to see a doctor in the United States.
He has had difficulty finding a doctor that will provide him with care and has yet never visited a doctor since his time in the United States due to his citizenship status. Furthermore, José is unable to pay for any consultation fees due to his expenses and financial state. Financially troubled, José is in need of help as he urgently needs to see a doctor and have a general checkup to make sure everything is fine.
We plan to help José and his family by covering all finances related to any medical expenses to support him while he manages to cover his other expenses including taking care of his family. We plan to connect José with one of our local providers, Dr. Gopika Gangupantula, who is dedicated to helping people like José in managing their health conditions and genuinely caring for patients. We hope that through our aid, José will be able to manage his health better under the care of a physician and continue to be there to support his family.
